Restoration Plantings on Roy Clements Treeway

The Roy Clements Treeway is used by hundreds of people every day  and provides an important community link between Mt Albert, Sandringham, and St Lukes.

One of the challenges is a level of vandalism and tagging.  On Guy Fawkes night some people using fireworks in the Reserve set fire to trees and plants so that the Fire Brigade was called.   See the link

STEPS is working with the Albert Eden Local Board and other parties on solutions to these problems. Community members can contact STEPS via this site if they see any problems, and  we appreciate the vigilance of the community in connecting with Auckland Council help desk, Police or Fire Service for more serious issues.

We are also planning a community event at the end of summer to increase the awareness and enjoyment by the community of the beautiful community assets we have in the STEPS wetland, the boardwalk and the plantings associated with  it which are maintained by Auckland Council on Mt Albert Grammar School land.
