Hearings for Resource Consent for Haverstock Road Housing NZ Development

September 8th, 2008

In a previous post regarding the proposed Housing NZ development in Haverstock Road, Sandringham, we commented that it has been proposed to replace the 19 existing units with 41 units.

Among other issues, there is a proposal to move part of Meola Creek that runs behind the existing units and this has received approval from the ARC as it is no longer classified as a ‘creek’ because it is piped.

STEPS made a submission on this development and the moving of the creek, which can be downloaded here…submission_steps-08-haverstock-v1

The hearings regarding this development and all submissions are being held from September 10-12, 2008, and STEPS will be making a presentation. We will keep you updated.
